The Latvian Transatlantic Organisation (LATO) in cooperation with the Soros-Foundation Latvia and policy centre EuroCivitas organise a seminar entitled „Belarus after elections: analysis and forecast” with the aim to enhance better understanding on the recent developments in Belarus among expert and wider society. Seminar will be held on February 22, 2011, 9:30 – 11:30, Radisson Blu Hotel Latvia, SkyPoint Hall, 27th Floor, Elizabetes str. 55, Riga. The working language of the seminar will be Russian.
Seminar discussions will cover such topics as situation in Belarus after presidential elections, relations with international partners, mainly with Russia and the European Union, prospectives of the democratic forces in Belarus etc. Seminar will feature two exprts from Belarus: Petr Martsev, Editor-in-Chief of Belaruskaya Delovaya Gazeta (Belarus Business Newspaper), Founder and Board Member of the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Studies, and Uladzimir Matskevich, Belarusian methodologist, philosopher and political scientist, Head and Founder of the Humanitarian Technology Agency.
