On April 2-3, 2009 the forth NATO Youth Summit „NATO 2020: What Lies Ahead?” was organised on the sidelines of the NATO summit held in Strasbourg/Kehl. Latvia was represented by two active youngsters – Uldis Šalajevs, vice-president of Latvian Youth Council and Arvils Zeltiņš, 4th grade student at the Riga Stradiņš University.
On 2-4 April, 2009 NATO’s Public Diplomacy Division together with the Atlantic Treaty Association, the Atlantic Council of the United States, the Office franco-allemand pour la Jeunesse, and the Ecole Nationale d’Administration (ENA), will host a Youth Forum entitled “NATO in 2020: What Lies Ahead?”. The conference will take place on the margins of the Alliance’s 60th Anniversary Summit, which will be held from 3-4 April in Strasbourg, France and Kehl, Germany.
This year on April 2-4, representatives of the Youth Atlantic Treaty Association will join young leaders from across the Atlantic Community on the margins of the 60th Anniversary NATO Summit in Strasbourg for a Youth Summit ‘NATO in 2020: What lies ahead?’
