Discussion on the militarisation of the Arctic and its implications for the security of the Baltic region

On 23 May 2023, LATO, in cooperation with the Canadian Embassy in Latvia, organised a discussion on the militarisation of the Arctic and its possible implications for the security of the Baltic Sea region. The discussion included the presentation of a specialised policy report on the topic by Prof. Tim Riley, Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge, followed by a panel discussion with Prof. Tim Riley, Prof. Prof. Mark Lantein from Canada, and Mr. Bryan Schwartz, Canadian Ambassador to Latvia. The discussion was moderated by Gints Jegermanis.
